Noise is a disordered overlap of sounds with different frequencies and intensities, which involves the periodic determination of area analyzes. Noise negatively influences the physical and mental state of man and animals, which is why noise pollution requires more and more attention. The sound due to the vibrations in nature, diffused in the form of waves that pass through gaseous, liquid and solid media with different speeds. The unit of measurement is the decibel, denoted by dB. Noise pollution, caused by annoying disharmonious sounds, is produced mainly by cars and means of transport, as a result of technical progress, industrialization, population mobility, etc.





The lower disturbance limit for human noise is 0 (zero) dB and the upper one of 130 - 140 dB. Noise level measurements must be performed periodically both in order to identify noise disturbing factors in areas with industrial activity or locations with other types of noise-generating activities, to establish sound level parameters at work for protection, health of personnel involved.



Noise measurements are imposed by the authorities in terms of environmental permits and integrated environmental permits regulated by current standards, for example. STAS 10009: 1988 - establishes the maximum allowed limits of the noise level, in the urban environment, differentiated by functional areas and endowments and by technical categories of streets.
